Principal Instructor
Melody Chen is a certified ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), UK, and has over 15 years of teaching experience across all levels—from creative ballet to intermediate foundation. She prepares students for RAD exams, choreographs for performances, and coaches for competitions. With additional training in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Melody emphasizes strong technique, safe practice, and musicality. Her warm, structured teaching style supports both children and adults in building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for dance.
Dance Instructor
Wang Xiaochen began her dance journey at the age of five with the Navy Haiwa Art Troupe and was selected to perform in the 1993 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. At nine, she entered formal ballet training at the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy, where she developed a strong classical foundation.
Since moving to Singapore in 2020, Xiaochen has been teaching adult ballet and CSTD syllabus classes for children. With her performance background and years of training, she is dedicated to guiding students with patience, discipline, and an appreciation for the artistry of classical ballet. Xiaochen was awarded Silver Prize in Classical Ballet Solo at the 2024 Asia Dance Arts Festival and achieved Distinction in the RAD Vocational Graded Examination (Intermediate) in 2025.
Dance Instructor
Olga Badenova is an award-winning ballet professional with over 20 years of international stage and teaching experience. A former soloist of the Abay National Opera and Ballet Theatre, she has performed in more than 3,800 productions at world-renowned venues including the Bolshoi Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre, and National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Olga holds a Master’s degree in Choreography Pedagogy and specializes in Vaganova and RAD ballet training methods. Passionate about inspiring the next generation, she has trained award-winning students in Singapore and internationally through performances, competitions, and artistic education.
Dance Instructor
Jeslyn Chong is a contemporary and jazz dance instructor with over 17 years of dance training and performance experience. She graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) with a Diploma in Dance with Distinction and was recognised on the Dean’s List throughout her studies. An accomplished performer, Jeslyn has performed in productions across Singapore and internationally, including the Daegu International Dance Festival in South Korea, working alongside renowned choreographers in ballet, contemporary and musical jazz.
At Allongé, Jeslyn teaches Broadway Jazz and Contemporary Dance, where she combines strong technical foundations with expressive artistry and musicality. Her warm and encouraging teaching style creates an environment where dancers can develop confidence, refine their technique, and discover the joy of movement. Whether students are exploring dance for the first time or looking to deepen their skills, Jeslyn is committed to helping every dancer grow with confidence, creativity, and passion.
